"Writing means sharing. It's part of the human condition to want to share things - thoughts, ideas, opinions."

-Paulo Coelho

The Learning To Quote Ourselves Writing Workshop, led by Damien Tillman, whose goal is to create a productive community of successful writers. If you're compelled to write and enjoy being around others who are obsessed with words, this is the group for you! We're comprised of novelists, poets, fantasy writers, bloggers, academic writers, scriptwriters and everything in between!

If you're compelled to write and enjoy being around others who are obsessed/possessed by words, the Learning To Quote Ourselves Writing Workshop is for you. We're poets, fantasy writers, bloggers, ghostwriters and everything in between. We're all on a mission to create and inspire. Some are published, some are not, most are trying to finish a project and others just want to get back in the habit of writing. Some of us write for a living, many don't. We are all working towards a creative goal and all are welcome!

Our Mission

To foster a community of artists that collaborate, support, and motivate each other through engaging workshops, constructive feedback and sharing information on the writing process. We want our members to leave every meeting a better writer that’s one step closer to reaching their goals.

Our Workshops

Designed and facilitated by Damien Tillman, the workshop is divided into two parts. The first centers on a specific aspect of writing, such as character design or free verse poetry. We explore topics, share information and write using exercises, prompts, and small group activities. In the second part, members can workshop their writing. Each presenter is limited to about 8 minutes and they received immediate constructive feedback on what they share!

Who We Are

We are a group comprised of people from all walks of life. Most importantly, we are writers. If you have a desire to make friends, learn and inspire while developing your craft, join us!
